In Pursuit

The smell of rain,
And my eyes dialate.
So I run,
To where the storm meets the sun.
Dance on the line of two worlds,
Until it swallows me whole.
Get down on my knees,
Take the time to feel,
Each drop swollen with passion.
Trying to hit life,
Hard enough to penetrate,
And run through the veins of us.
Enter one and travel through,
Absorb the emotions of each.
Drops of fury,
Meet drops of pain.
Saved by puddles of glory rain.
Concentrated enough to purify,
Even the filthiest of swine.
Storm ends suddenly.
Smell of fear fills the air.
So I press my body into the earth,
To absorb the remainder of clarity.
Annoint myself & conjoin myself,
With others seeking a cleansed soul.
So we run ,
For the sun.
Until the next storm is met,
Where we become entwined within the calm.
Watch the rain approach,
Like a sheet of glass.
It comes over us,
Shocking with its gentle embrace.
You don't break.
Neither does she.
You just become one.
The light bounces between strands & drops,
Piercing your eyes,
And reflecting dancing bodies.
Being guided by wind & warmth...
Inspiration & desire...
Stimulation & pulsation..
Quivering breaths,
In. In in in. Out. Out.
No patterns are forming.
Chaos emboddies us.
We're swept away,
Until the sky clears once more.
So we run,
To where the storm meets the sun.

Vampress

Well he's Mr. Tomorrow
And you expected him some day
He'd be your knight in shining armor
Just not today

You've been waiting for a long time
For him to come out into the light
But he's looking for a vampress
To share in his dark delight

So you join him there
Grow long dark hair
And shed pigmented flesh
'Til you're brilliantly fair

But he still sneaks while you sleep
Lusting after that next taste
Under the howling moon
No blood will go to waste

There's always that gypsy girl
Dancing in the red fire light
Pulling the devil from the flames
And tempting him into the night

Well your teeth were still dull
When you followed him in his trance
On that first full moon
To watch the voodoo lady dance

She's one with the moon
And its gravitational pull
You find yourself on top of her
Until her blood has made you full

Veins swell out of your skin
Eyes explode a diseased red
But it feels so serene
To finally live for yourself instead

Now sharpen your teeth
And let desire take control
But don't lose yourself in that fire
Devil will take your soul

Back into the night
Under the blood red sky
Stars drip ecstasy
Shooting your mind so high

Vampress goddess in the night
Pierce his neck with a slow bite
Empowered by the lady in the moonlight
You turn Mr. Tomorrow into Mr. Tonight

Climate Crisis

I haven't blogged in a while, so you can read Al Gore's blog in my stead! I hope to return soon.

Closer to The King

Once upon a night time, a man slept next to his current passion pursuit. He dreamed of coincidences and magic, as many of us do. This evening wind carried him to the place of Elvis' death where he realized himself to be a closet fanatic and obsession overcame his being. Across the way he spies a toilet and thinks, "Look! That's where The King died!" Where else would a king die, but upon his thrown? "I MUST partake in a whiz, so I can be closer to brilliance," he thought as he ran towards it with his pants around ankle by time of arrival. With his head leaned back, eyes closed, mouth open and sighing pleasure, he proceeds to shower the toilet with his urine. Pure bliss! He enjoyed the warmth that this experience brought to him...until...he realized this warmth was focused almost exclusively on his own groin. Eyes shoot open, her hair tickles his nose, and he shuffles off of the bed backwards. Hands are awkwardly in the air and he thrusts his crotch away in every direction while attempting to simply brush it off. "If I could just whip the mattress out from under her like those suave gentlemen do in the movies with table cloths this will all just go away. She doesn't have to know." Yeah. Right...

Dave Matthews

I don't think I'm the only one who uses the excuse, "Dave told me to do it!" At the Gorge last summer I put him in my pocket, and he's been whispering about sweet liberation ever since. It tickles.

Sri Lanka

Since January of this year there have been over 6,400 civilian casualties in the Sri Lankan Civil War between the government and the rebel group, Tamil Tigers. This accounts for more than half of this year's total casualties. You can compare this to the total number of civilian casualties of 2008 (400), which was only 3.6% of the total casualties. These contrasting proportions can be attributed to herding of the innocent to what was thought to be a 'no-fire zone' where they were mixed with Tigers. Tigers and non-combatants were killed side by side in civilian dress making it impossible to attain accurate information concerning casualties for the 2 groups separately. Both the Tamil Tigers and the government are pointing fingers at each other for killing non-combatants. The UN has requested that the Tamil Tigers allow removal of civilians from the war zone to reduce these casualties, but currently land removal is not safe and all must be done by sea. The group is now on route to internment camps where they will attempt to differentiate civilians from guerillas. Neither group will agree to cease fire. This 25 year battle is thought to be in its end stages , but rebel activities are sure to continue.
